Conferment ceremony held for Xiang Chunyi (IAS Visiting Associate Professor) and YAMAMURO Takafumi (Strategic Research Planning Manager)

　Xiang Chunyi, IAS Visiting Associate Professor and YAMAMURO Takafumi, Strategic Research Planning Manager were appointed to the Institute of Advanced Sciences and a conferment ceremony was held on January 4, 2023.

　Xiang Chunyi, IAS Visiting Associate Professor will be in charge of improving the accuracy of typhoon forecasting and elucidating changes in the internal structure of typhoons at the Typhoon Prediction Research Laboratory, Typhoon Science and Technology Research Center (TRC), IAS.

　YAMAMURO Takafumi, Strategic Research Planning Manager, is responsible for providing management support for the Moonshot Research and Development Project (Goal 8) promoted by the Cabinet Office and JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) as well as overall management administration at the Typhoon Science and Technology Research Center (TRC), IAS.
