This research unit conducts urban and rural development policy research focusing on sustainable living with environmental risks and based on academic agreements between Yokohama National University and universities in Latin America, and in addition organically combines development anthropology, civil engineering, and gender and development studies to disseminate innovative field-based research integrating art and science.
