Effective January 1, 2024, Professor Nobuyuki YOSHIKAWA, Vice Director of IAS, has been elevated to the grade of IEEE Fellow for his “Contributions to the development of low-power superconductive digital circuits and their application to reversible-computing ”.

This award is in recognition of Professor YOSHIKAWA’s outstanding research achievements worldwide in the area of low power consumption of integrated circuits using superconducting circuits.

The IEEE Fellow designation is awarded by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to electrical engineering, electronics, and related fields. The number of Fellows elected each year by a rigorous selection process is within 0.1% of the membership.
