IAS and IMS Researchers featured in the Asia Research News 2024 Magazine

Professor Maiko KAGAMI (PI, Biosphere Research Unit, IMS), IAS Associate Professor Yin Minn Pa Pa (Information and Physical Security Research Unit, IAS), and IMS Visiting Associate Professor Xiang Chunyi (Typhoon Science and Technology Research Center, IMS), all of the YNU Institute of Advanced Research, were invited in the Asia Research News 2024 Magazine, ” shaping tomorrow – knowledge explorers guarding our future” for the feature article “BATTLING ALGAE, TYPHOONS, AND CYBERCRIME”.

The article asks how to solve urgent social risks such as global climate change, catastrophic disasters, and cybercrime, which is becoming increasingly sophisticated with the emergence of AI. Three researchers belonging to the YNU Institute of Advanced Research provide a compact introduction to the topic.
